On October 15, 2026 at 7 pm Eastern, we are offering a webinar for AWC members titled "A Peek Behind the Publishing Curtain" by literary agent Rebecca Rodd, a guest of our November 6-7 Atlanta Writers Conference.
The webinar is just $22 (which includes the credit/debit card processing fee) and will grant you live online access via Zoom on October 15 at 7 pm Eastern as well as a link to the recording in case you're unable to attend the live presentation or want to watch it again. The recording will be retained online until the end of 2026.
If you are not yet an Atlanta Writers Club member--or your membership will expire by October 15--but you want to register for this webinar, you will have to add AWC membership to your total. You will then also be able to (continue to) attend our monthly in-person meetings at no charge, participate in our critique groups, register for our conferences, enter our contests, and register for periodic standalone online workshops offered free to members.
Rebecca Rodd is an Agent at Levine, Greenberg, Rostan Literary Agency, where she began in 2020. She represents both fiction and nonfiction writers covering all age groups. Rebecca received her Bachelor’s degree in English from (the illustrious) Spelman College and holds a Master’s degree in Library Science from CUNY Queens College. Before joining the agency in 2020, she was a Library Information Supervisor at Brooklyn Public Library, where she specialized in children’s literature and programming.
She is a guest of our November 6-7 Atlanta Writers Conference, with a waitlist for manuscript critique and query letter pitch meetings. See her profile on the conference website for the fiction and nonfiction she is seeking.
Based on feedback from past Atlanta Writers Conference attendees and other members of the Atlanta Writers Club, writers want to better understand a wide range of agent and publication details and decisions. Rebecca will join us to discuss the following:
- How agents come up with their wishlists
- How the industry is coping with AI
- What authors should consider when classifying the genre and subgenre(s) of their book
- What makes a query letter and manuscript sample stand out
She will allow lots of time to answer your questions as well!
The webinar recording will be available to view until December 31, 2026.
